Mc Cool, however, is different. Instead of opting for either of the aforementioned peripherals, he prefers to play Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with a piano keyboard.

The setup itself is actually pretty complex. To control the game, McCool uses an Arduino that reads MIDI signals from the keyboard that it then uses to trigger transistors connected to a Paewang PCB from the Datel/Joytron Revolution PS3/Xbox 360 joystick to send signals to the console.

As for the keyboard itself, it’s actually a good fit for fighting games, working similar in theory to all button controllers like the Hitbox (and works way better than my own attempts to play MvC2 with a steering wheel).
